$5,000 Sign on Bonus for External Hires

The LVN provides direct and indirect patient care services in the Marina Weight Management Center. The LVN will provide front and back-office support to program director and surgeons. In addition, the LVN will maintain regulatory agency requirements, nursing and hospital policies, procedures, and standards. Communicates with physicians and team members about changes in patients’ clinical condition.

What will you be doing in this role?

• Provide front office support including scheduling patient appointments, review and audit patients charts for pre-op patients.
• Review medication authorization requirements, review documents for surgeons and review required Medicare documents for patients.
• Sets up exam room/procedure rooms appropriately based on patient visit needs.
• Performs initial nursing intake and prepares patients for examination.
• Perform essential nursing tasks such as take vital signs, administration of injections and blood draws.
• Assist surgeons with in-office procedures such as Lap Band adjustments.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education:

Graduate from an accredited school of nursing (required).

Licenses/Certifications:

Current California LVN licensure (required).

BLS from the American Heart Association and/or the American Red Cross (required).

Intravenous/Blood Withdrawal Certification (required).

Experience:

Minimum of one (1) year of ambulatory care setting experience (required).

Experience working with Bariatric patients (preferred).

EPIC experience (preferred).
